Spinach, a remote communication startup based in Atlanta, has secured $2.75 million in pre-seed funding to develop its zoom meeting integration. The funding round was led by Cardumen Capital. Additional investors like Zoom, Tuesday Capital, Liron Petrushka, and Yoni Assia (EToro Founder & CEO) also participated.
The startup is known as one of the first Zoom Apps investment partners to help distributed teams work more efficiently by improving meeting outcomes and tailoring activities to different. This approach allows organizations to make everyday activities more efficient.
The new investment will be used to expand the startup’s engineering team, launch its platform with full access, and bring its products to a wider audience to continue improving the remote work environment. CEO and Co-founder of Spinach, Matan Talmi referred to how its platform can improve remote working by stating:
“With the right tools, remote work can and should be more productive than the in-person alternative. The pandemic has catapulted this existing trend and the workforce of tomorrow will demand premium, remote work experiences. Spinach is designed to deliver exactly that by making virtual meetings extremely productive, engaging, and fun.”
It is reported that on average, groups of six people spend an average of 750 hours per year in 30 minutes daily standups. Spinach effectively organizes and enhances day-to-day transparency across Zoom’s entire feature set to make that time more productive. By running shows and recording action items, sharing them through the right channels, Spinach organizes daily tasks efficiently.
The platform also connects people by increasing clarity within the team and making meeting organization easy. Colin Born from the Zoom Applications Foundation believes and looks forward to Spinach in the future:

With the launch of the Private Beta, y the communication startup reimagined and optimized the workflow for creative delivery teams, meaning that remote teams can boost productivity for virtual standalone meetings in a time when remote working has gained notoriety due to the Covid19 pandemic.
