Arch Manning, the son of Cooper Manning and nephew to New York Giants legend Eli Manning and Hall of Famer Peyton Manning, is beginning to gain national attention and fame.

At just 16 years old, Arch is already a five-star quarterback and the No. 1 quarterback of the 2023 class. He’s being recruited by nearly every major college in the country including Clemson, Ole Miss, Notre Dame, Alabama and LSU.

Despite that, Uncle Eli has offered very little advice and doesn’t intend to lead Arch down any one path. In fact, the only advice Eli has provided Arch is to simply enjoy his high school experience.

“I’m not super-involved or giving too much advice,” Eli told the Lafayette Daily Advertiser. “I would just encourage him to focus on playing high school football.”

Despite the pressure of playing for the same high school his father and uncles did — which has an athletic wing named after the family — coupled with being recruited by every major program in the nation, Arch has stayed grounded.

“Arch is a really sweet kid,” said Archie Manning, the patriarch of the family. “He’s a hard worker. He’s got a good attitude and we’re proud of him.”

This season, with COVID-19 restrictions softened and the two Super Bowl champions now retired, the entire Manning clan is expected to make their way back to Newman for some games under the Friday night lights.

“I haven’t been to many Newman high school games since I left,” Eli said. “I’m just excited to see that atmosphere and hopefully just see him out there.”

Newman High School games are also expected to air on ESPN properties this season.
